Title Sequence Design

Ex Machina

Ava was created and trained using the data from almost every device around the world. She is made by Nathan but brought to life by Caleb. We’d like to address this idea of connection in our sequence. Fiber is the framing device which is made with particles. 

The sequence starts with the title of the movie “Ex Machina”, wrapped with fiber. Particles that represent data from people, are floating around the type. The fibers merge into more scientific and technological fiber flow. Multiple flows come together forming bigger fiber. Finally, the camera shows Caleb’s silhouette over the screen, showing the behind of the digital monitor connected to fibers.
