Poster, French Fold Brochure Design
We Rise Film Series
The concept for this poster/ french fold brochure is how each individual use their abilities/talents to make changes in their society and how it affects people.
When I was watching documentaries: Joshua: Teenager vs. Superpower, What happened Miss Simone, I Am Not Your Negro, The Room of Silence, I was impressed how they were trying to speak out in their own ways even if it was hard, especially Joshua and Miss Simone. Joshua gathered his school mates and other students, organized protests, and made changes to their education. Miss Simone did political music and broke her career. So I decided to put them on the poster.
This project was challenging because I had to think of 2 layouts (poster and brochure) at the same time. I had to think about how and where it will be folded. But I really enjoyed the process and like the outcome.
Program Used: Indesign, Photoshop
I decided put leaders on the right side and showed how they affected/gathered on the left to create flow. For Miss Simone, I made the square negative shape around her to give a feeling of concert stage.
